Selling on eBay
« on: 18 Jun 2015, 21:59 »
One of the things about selling on eBay is that you need to exercise caution.  Take this recent Q&A is relation to my 11ft oars, quoted verbatim:

Q: what's the best you can do them for doing a charity boat row next month for cancer research
and mine are to small I on tight budget will only use once every year

A: I'm going to relist if they don't sell. If you're rowing for charity, I'm sure that your local rowing club would be prepared to lend you a pair.

Q: what rowing club who said anything about boat club
I doing on my own pal with fishing boat I dug out
check out on Internet river dee charity boat row
I wasn't asking you to give me them shove your oars right where they belong

I didn't follow his suggestion about how to dispose of the oars and didn't reply either.  There is a Dee charity boat row but it took a long time to find and he's probably genuine.
