BRE - drop nose pins
« on: 22 Jun 2020, 18:51 »
Evening All

Could I ask a favour. I'm missing two little dropnose pins. The short one that secures the clew to the bottom of the sail track and the longer one that goes through the boom and secures it to the hinged pin on the mast.

There's about a 50/50 chance they're both on my boat but I'd rather not drive all the way there and find I'm mistaken.

I don't think it'd be too hard to improvise something but I should probably have some spares anyway.

If anyone has a BRE to hand could they let me know the length and diameter of each so I can get another set ordered.

Thanks for your help.

Charlie

My 2019 BR20 pins should be the same:

The pin you insert into the bottom of the track to act as a stopper for the sail sliders measures 35mm long (discounting the drop down latch) and 5mm across.
The gooseneck locking pin measures 72mm long again discounting the drop down latch and 6mm across.

Hope that helps
