I got Matt to fit midship cleats on each side to aid single handed mooring. They are brilliant. I have permanently fitted bow lines. I lead these back and belay them to the cleat, with a long loose end. I can drop this end over a pontoon cleat from the cockpit and that will hold the boat for most activities. If I want to moor for longer I attach a stern rope to a pontoon cleat and then uncleat the bow rope and attach it as a conventional mooring from the bow. No extra rope needed.
