Storm Eunice - Feb 22. Dits anyone?
« on: 18 Feb 2022, 19:11 »
Any boating related "dits" to share?

I saw some poor souls jib (no boat attached, luckily) come bowling up the river at low tide this afternoon... don't know where it came from.
And, as usual, one or two roller furling jibs won't be much use come spring; I really don't understand why people don't take them down for winter?

Sennen RNLI lifeboat station now has no roof! Looks like it was modern raised seam wriggly tin - cr@p. You'd think they'd know better down there, a local pal says 70mph wind is an almost weekly event during winter?
Lifeboat now out of service according to bbc...
BRe # 52 - "Two Sisters"  2016. Plank sprit, conventional jib. Asym spinn. Coppercoat. Honda 5. SOLD Nov 2022....
...From Oct 22.
BC 26 #1001. "Two Sisters 2", 2013. Alloy spars, Bermudan Sloop; fixed twin spade rudders, Beta diesel saildrive. Lift keel with lead bulb. Coppercoat. Cornwall UK.
