Scandalising a Mizzen
«

We are used to using a Mizzen on previous boats. The Mizzen on our BREx doesn’t easily allow it to be scandalised. We’d like to reduce the sail with ease.
Are there any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks.

Change the mizzen spritboom to a goosenecked under sail boom.

I simply detach my boom and roll the sail round the mast.

Same here, made easier if you reverse the mizzen outhaul, which is covered in this thread
https://www.swallowyachtsassociation.org/smf/index.php/topic,1216.0.html
.
There’s also this furling idea

.
In the past I’ve tried to scandalise the mizzen by raising the end of the sprit boom up towards the mast but this resulted in a flapping nightmare, especially towards the top of the sail.
