Spoke to Matt today and ordered a Storm 17 kit. Get to sort out the options next. I'm excited.

Chosen some options so now just got to pay and wait. My only regret is that I'm going to have to clear the garage out to make room for the build.

Hi Clem,

Tidying the garage is one thing; I had to extend mine! (Which is not as bad as it sounds given our house layout). The garage was only 16'11 which would not have accomodated a BR17.

You were deciding between a Storm and a BR17 I believe? What swung your decision? (Even after test sailing the BR17 I nearly went for the Storm because they are quicker to build).

Anthony,

No single reason. The quicker build, looks and lower cost so I could have more "extras". As this will be my first boat for getting on 40 years the plan is to re learn in her and get used to tidal estuaries (only really sailed inland before) then at a later date maybe go on to something a little bigger with cabin so I can explore further up the coast towards Norfolk.
