Careening a BR20
«

My BR20 has been on a swinging mooring for about three/four weeks (no anti-fouling) and is beginning to grow green stuff on its bottom. Rather than take the boat out of water I was thinking of 'Careening' the boat either afloat or dried out at low tide and giving her bottom a bit of a scrub. Has anyone had any experience of doing this with advice to pass on??? Thanks in advance if anyone can be of help. (I suspect it would be better to do this afloat as the wide flat bottom will make it difficult to achieve grounded??? but would be easier to scrub when grounded)

Colin,
best done afloat, in thigh high water over sand, not mud. C.
