I had to replace two factory fitted Aurinco panels recessed into the narrow PnS aft teak side decks on my BC26, failed due to water ingress after 9 years.
Aurinco no longer find it viable to compete with Chinese manufacturers, according to their website (see below).
Long, narrow, flush fitting panels are hard to find. The closest match I could find were Sunbeamsystems Tough series, in my case 2 x Tough 21w Long. But I had to chop out longer recesses in the decks to fit them.
As to prices...I don't see mine as particularly cheap, but they are supposedly very durable, 5 year warranty. They need to be as they may be walked on! I guess this is the innovation?

However, solar panels in general are apparently at all-time low prices according to the FT. Somepeople are now using them to build garden solar-fences!
