wanted - self tacking jib
« on: 11 May 2014, 11:42 »
I have just shredded my self tacking jib.
Before I buy a new one it occurred to me that there may be someone who has converted from a self tacking jib to a conventional jib.
If you are such a person I would like to buy your self tacking jib which you are not going to use again

Colin, commiserations.

This probably won't help, but I do still have the self-tacking jib from my Storm Petrel 'Cadenza' from before I re-rigged her. You would be welcome to it, but a bit of a pocket hanky for your boat, I guess. A storm (self-tacking) jib perhaps? (The pun was unintentional and has just dawned on me.)

I'll dig it out and measure it up if it's of any interest, but it obviously won't meet your 'fair winds and prosperous voyage' needs. Might start a trend?!

Thank you Michael. That is a very kind offer but I will decline because I need to have the right sized jib.
Best wishes

I have one available from a previous Bay Raider if you'd like to contact me.
