Title: New videos
Post by: Graham W on 16 Feb 2020, 14:34
There are two new videos from the yard for Boot Düsseldorf - featuring the BC23 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjF2kbxeqEY and the Coast 250 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bsvWcEG3gs.

If I won the lottery, I’d be very keen on the BC23 but still wouldn’t give up my BR20.

I was looking at the video of the BC23 and was very surprised to see the galley extension proposed/designed by Rob and fitted in Riff Raff. I find it very useful!

BC23 - Several very nice touches in the detailing/outfitting...some of which are shared with my Humble BRe (spinlock telescopic tiller extension, and a copperbot coating in the outboard well).
I like the Swallow insignia engraved into the saloon table, but the stainless steel threshold/kicker plate at the companionway is perhaps a little to "bling" for me!
A problem/decisions that I won't need to address as i have neither a saloon table, nor a companionway threshold.  :)

May just try a Swallow logo on the teak picnic table that I erect in the cockpit?

No stainless motor mount protector on the BC23 - perhaps Tim/Peter C could make a pitch?  ;)

If talking of lottery wins - i'd probably bypass the BC23 for the coast 250?

Coast 250 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bsvWcEG3gs.

Again the Swallow detailing is really rather nice; even more branding on this one.

Very interesting & tantalising glimpses of the Outboard motor aperture closing system (something for us humble Br/BRe owners here maybe?); and similarly the rather "rad" trim tabs that seem to make the 250 concept all possible?

The in-built capacity for 3 x 5 gallon petrol cans, to give a quoted range at planing speed of  56 miles confirms my need for a lottery win before I place my order...

Thanks to GW for posting these links.

However, my local Harbour Master would no doubt have something to say about me getting out/in of the river quicker, so as to spend more time sailing, so perhaps I'll keep my lottery win for  Hybrid Romilly ;)

Thanks for pointing out the new video's. Thanks Martijn for pointing out that the kitchen is now (no doubt) an offical extra for the boat:  I knew I should have insisted on royalties!

Boatless but working on it!

Hi Rob,

You seem to have quite an effect in the Swallow design department lately.
I guess you could consider yourself junior naval architect by now :)

I hope B-time is approaching real time and I'm looking forward to see more pictures!
