Title: Sailing River Avon
Post by: BobT on 01 Aug 2015, 12:07
Can anyone give some advice on launching near mouth R Avon and then sailing up under Clifton suspension bridge and back, not particularly looking to get into Cumberland basin and beyond.

I understand there is launching at Portishead but would be keen to avoid the congestion of Royal Portbury and Avonmouth docks.  Looking at some maps there appears an OK slipway across from Pill?

Apart from the very tidal nature of this area are there any other local issues on this section of the R Avon?
