Title: BR17 Build - Basingstoke - Turnover
Post by: Anthony Huggett on 06 Jun 2012, 19:56
Just finished turning over the BR17. Whole process took about 45 minutes with about 6 helpers.

Lessons learned:

The scruffy square timber that the kit rested on on the trailer are a great size to balance her on at this stage. I've got them laid across the trolley, with her on top.

I did too good a job when I filleted the hull to the cradle 12 months ago. It took ages to scrape off with the heat gun! You can see where the first 2 frames were on the second photo.

A large hammer and bits of spare timber are useful for knocking the uprights out of the cradle assembly.
