What a shame, how sad.

"IMPORTANT Cornish Crabbers Club News

Hi Folks,

Unfortunately I have some very bad news regarding the Crabbers Club Ning site and forum ( cornishcrabbersclub.ning.com )
Following on from Cornish Crabbers going into voluntary liquidation it is most likley that the whole of our Ning site will disappear in a very few days. Our site was owned and inextricably linked to CC LLP. The CC LLP site has already closed and ours is due to follow.

On a positive note our Cornish Crabbers Club website ( cornishcrabbersclub.co.uk ) will continue for the foreseeable future,"

Hi - just to let you know that it was the battery. The battery had fully discharged over the winter months - will check before raising next time!

I've been on to rainandsun.co.uk several times and Phil sounds as if sending some offcuts for patches is not difficult but I've yet to see any........

Technical / Garmin GNX wireless issue
« Last Post by Gavin Y on 29 Mar 2024, 19:04 »
Hi All,

Felt very smug when the mast was raised, no huge tangles and all looked fine. That soon dissipated when I re-installed the batteries to discover that the GNX wireless instrument is not being recognised on the chart plotter - worked fine during the first season. I did not store it in a box over the winter and it was sat on a shelf that would get daylight, but not direct sunlight. Garmin assure me that it is un-likely to be anything to do with connections on the mast or at its foot and the first option is to replace the re-chargeable battery which I will attempt once it stops raining and the wind reduces. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with a BC23 and can offer any more possible causes of the issue. Thanks.

Thanks Phillip and Nicky for the phots - really useful. I'm going to experiment with a snuffer to see if that makes the whole experience a bit less prone to issues. Will report back when I have had a play.

Good.
Charger  and battery seems to be sorted?

Now, how's the mppt solar controller doing?

Ps. My "crapmobile" battery has been aok since it was last woken from the dead on 25th February.....

Good news! left the battery on the CTek for 24 hr and all 7 lights are on, lights 6 & 7 green. This in contrast to the last time when, 24hr later, I came back to a red error light and a discharged battery

Hi Emma  My 2016 BRe is in the water at Cardiff Bay Yacht Club. I plan to take all the cushions etc for the season down this weekend and the weather will be fine for a pootle in the bay if you wish. I don't have a planned time yet. Does Cardiff work for you and if so when? Cheers John
