I have a brand new, unopened Datatag outboard security kit for sale. I bought this in advance of getting my new Suzuki engine and was then given another one free with the engine. A nice touch from the dealer in Kingswear, but would have been good to have known about it earlier!
If you're not familiar with Datatag, the kit doesn't stop the engine being removed but it does make it very traceable if it is taken. It contains a variety of labels, etching fluid, micro dots and a tiny RFID transponder that all contain the owners registration number, so rather like a pet chip, it means that the engine can be linked to the real owner.
