Clubboom
« on: 19 Apr 2015, 10:49 »
Favour please, anyone in a position to take a couple of measurements for me please. Following my club boom being left at the welder so for a stainless boot to be fitted I'm having problems with the end of the boom hitting the mast and the jib foot being loose even with the outfall tight. Either the front has been shortened or the soft shackle is in the wrong place.

Could I have the overall length please of the boom pse and the distance from the front of the boom to the deck cleat securing the soft rope loop pse.

Thanks

179cm and 47.75cm (measured to the centre of the lacing eye on top of the boom).

Thanks Graham, overall length of mine is 15cm less, wonder if welder cut the end off, perhaps he split the wood tapping the ss boot on. Can move the lacing eye back to achieve the measurement you gave me, original holes must be under the ss boot.

Thanks
