Morbihan pilot guide
« on: 28 Dec 2016, 09:39 »
Hello All

I'm planning to trailer our BRE to Morbihan next summer for a family holiday.

Does anyone know of an English language pilot guide or anything else that might prove useful?

Thanks for any help.

Charlie

Charlie.

I've got an admiralty chart of Morbihan, which I found invaluable, that you are welcome to make use of - a bit 'used' but otherwise ok.
Email me on equinox25 at gmx.com if you would like it..?

Regards

Andy

Thank you Andy, that's very kind but I've actually ordered the 1:20k Golfe du Morbihan chart, it should be arriving any day now.

Thanks again.

I used a copy of North Biscay Sixth Edition 2003 for our 2013 and 2015 visits to the area.

It covers the area quite well,

Hi Charlie,

It is still christmas on this site: http://www.sea-seek.com/ebook/Golfe_de_Gascogne.pdf

This website is an incredible bible to prepare a trip.
Good reading in English.

Another site to visit Morbihan: http://www.morbihan.com/

If you want more information, contact me.

...   and if you really can't wait and want some on line browsing of the area, go to here -

http://map.openseamap.org

navigate to Morbihan (or anywhere else in Europe!) and zoom in, quite detailed and will give you a good idea.

Chart(lets)s can be downloaded and can be used on open cpn. Has google earth overlay, and all sorts of fun things.

Thank you all for your suggestions, they give me plenty to chew on between now and August.
