Firstly, very many thanks for all the hard work done on the 2021 raid so far; we are already looking forward to 2022 - in more ways than one!
I think that all things considered, the Swallow raid may well be a lot more pleasant in 2022, than this summer?
Last summer here was incredibly busy, and all the quiet coves and beaches that we would normally frequent were fully occupied.
Pulling the boat up on the beach was out of the question.
For example, we sailed up to Kingsand/Cawsand and as we rounded Rame on the way in, Plymouth Sound looked like the Solent...on an August weekend. We were unable to see any shore line at all, due the thick forest of yachts anchored off; We went away, without attempting to find room to anchor....I'm not telling to where
This year will be busier.
Practically everything (accommodation wise) in Cornwall is already fully booked, right through to October.
Tip: Be sure to check availability before travelling down - even the marinas/visitors moorings are getting booked up.
See you in 2022?
