Swallow Boats at Lake Bala
« on: 24 Jun 2009, 15:07 »
If anyone else is camping at Pen Y Bont this coming weekend, I will be there on Friday evening. To judge by the weather forcast you will be most likely to find me sitting over a tumble dryer in the laundery. Kettle will be on and a bottle of something still warmer could well be in use.  (Bring your own straw.)

Cheers!
Tony

Hi, Ed.
Good for you...and welcome to the Family....
(or Club, or Organisation, or Loose Association of Like-minded Individuals, whatever the heck we are.)
Which Swallow Boat did you decide on?

It is only a concept at the moment! The BR17. Mini BayRaider 20. Still lots to be worked out but I am really looking forward to seeing the development.

Hi Edwin,
Welcome aboard. You will enjoy the process. I had read somewhere about a 17 ft BayRaider but this is the first time I have heard of one being built. Should prove very interesting as I think it will appeal to many people who find the BayRaider itself just a bit too big. Will it be water ballasted?

Hello Julian,

We are booked in at the campsite for Saturday and Sunday.  We've been helping our daughter prepare for her Prom on Friday, so this weekend has been the light at the end of a very long tunnel.

See you at the sailing club early Saturday morning.

Regards,

Steve and Andrea Cross

Sadly I won't be at Bala as my boat isn't quite ready yet...
I've also got the In Laws arriving tomorrow and I think I had best put in an appearance.

Looks good, wish I was there! Incidentally I have been trying to change my name to lower case, no luck, looks like I am shouting :-[. Any clues?
