..apparently...as my free local library Press Reader subscription allows me to read both the Sept and November  editions  but not October, for some peculiar reason.

Afraid I'm  not willing to pay the £27 monthly fee for "premium access" as plenty of free reading material to get through yet!
Perhaps this restriction may differ in other areas?

There's nothing about the BC23 in the October issue, nor in September or November.

I now also read my free library magazines and newspapers on the PressReader app, rather than on Libby, which is what Kent Libraries originally wanted me to use.  I found Libby to be irritatingly buggy and slow.

Attached screen shot from p80 of Sept edition, citing Oct edition....

Good job I didn't buy it especially then!

It looks like the review may have been displaced by an article on women in boatbuilding.  There is often some sort of advertising quid pro quo when boat reviews are published but there's nothing on that front either.

The BC 23 review has made it into the January edition of Classic Boat - page 60.

And a good three page review it is also, although I am not sure how many owners regularly dump the water ballast and use their BC23 as a dinghy!  You can download the whole January edition free of charge on  https://freemagazines.top/classic-boat-january-2023/

See also this thread on how to access free digital newspapers and magazines on your tablet at home through membership of your local library https://www.swallowyachtsassociation.org/smf/index.php/topic,2174.0.html.  I don't know who pays what to whom but it saves me a small fortune in subscriptions.  All the UK sailing magazines seem to be on the platform, plus a smattering of French, US etc.

The was a glowing review of the BC 23 in an edition of PBO in 2010 (or it might have been 2011). As a consequence of that I bought Vagabond (#10)!
