BRe owners should have received an email from Swallow Boats regarding a recommended modification, but I have pasted it below in case you haven't. This sounds like a mandatory modification so please contact Laura at Swallow Boats to get this kit.
It has come to our attention recently that on some BayRaider Expeditions, the gooseneck fittings are point loading the masts. We have a plate kit to fix this issue, which is a simple fit that you should be able to do yourself, that we would like to send to you.
Please can you confirm your up to date address so that the kit can be posted as soon as possible. It is important that this plate is fitted, as this issue has resulted in stress cracks to the mast. We would recommend that you fit the plate before your next sail but if you do wish to sail before the plate is fitted, please make sure that your kicker strap is kept loose in order to minimise any pressure.
