Peter,
  Bit of a blow, but...
I'm afraid I can't attend the Rutland Rally at that particular weekend. I would like to visit Rutland water at a later date, are the same sort of arrangements in place (sleeping on boat , use of showers etc.) or they for organised events only?
If so , is there a minimum number that would be required? or temporary membership of Sailing club for instance.

I am sorry Steve cannot make it - but may I join the rally in his place please?

I would like to arrive and rig Friday pm, leave the boat on its trailer at Whitwell and then will stay off-site with relatives Fri and Sat evening.

If there are spare places at the evening meal for myself and Liz (wife) on Saturday I would be grateful.

Thanks

Steve

That's unfortunate it promises to be a good turnout, maybe next year. I can't answer your questions i'm afraid as i don't know without speaking to the watersports centre at Whitwell, best give them a call and explain yourself if that's ok with you.

Absolutely no problem Mathew, will put you down for the evening meal and add your BR20 Gladys to the list, nice to see another boat with a non-Latin or a clever name, I called mine after nickname for wife (Joybells )

You weren't happily calling your nearest and dearest 'Joybells' last week!
It'll cost you a pint or two of 'Thirsty Farmer' not to repeat what you actually did say ....!

Andy - (My BR is imaginatively called after the village I live in ....!)

“Fair Cop” guv, can I plead extenuating circumstances though, we had been out on the water in glorious sunshine at Rutland for 4 hours enjoying a sedate afternoon and as I told you the medication I was on specifically lists to keep out of bright sunlight.

PS
What goes down on tour “Stays on Tour”
What’s said on the boat “Stays on the Boat”
Despite my medication I can still recall the odd snippet myself to put a “book down my trousers” as to speak.

Hi
I hope there is space for two more Swallow boats, Tim Riley BR20 Ristie, Reg with BRe Alice Amy.
Spring is here and the covers will be coming off the boats, I only hope the fields dry out so I can recover my boat from behind the house. Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Reg
